Before and After: Driveway Pressure Washing Results in Parma, Ohio

One of the most satisfying pressure washing jobs we do is a badly neglected driveway — and Parma has no shortage of them. Here’s a look at what a professional driveway pressure washing can actually accomplish, based on a recent job we completed in the Parma area.

The Situation

A Parma homeowner called us after noticing their concrete driveway had developed heavy black and green algae streaking along the edges and expansion joints, plus a large oil stain near the garage door from a slow engine leak. The driveway was approximately 12 years old — original poured concrete in good structural condition, just heavily soiled.

Our Approach

We started by applying a commercial degreaser to the oil stain near the garage and letting it dwell for 10–15 minutes to break down the petroleum residue. While that was working, we pre-treated the algae streaking along the edges with our eco-safe biodegradable algae treatment. We then made our first pass with a surface cleaner attachment at 3,200 PSI to lift the general surface grime uniformly across the full driveway area. A second detail pass addressed the expansion joints and edging. Finally, we rinsed the full surface with a downstream detergent injection to neutralize any remaining biological growth.

The Results

The oil stain was reduced by approximately 85% — still slightly visible if you looked for it in the right light, but not noticeable under normal conditions. The algae streaking was fully eliminated. The concrete went from dark and mottled to a consistent light gray. Total time on site: about 90 minutes. The homeowner said it looked better than it had in five years.

What This Costs

This job was priced at $165 — a standard two-car concrete driveway with moderate soiling and one oil stain pre-treatment. Most Parma driveways fall in the $100–$200 range depending on size and condition.
